D.W. Jones Management, Inc manages properties in cities that provide a variety of supportive housing for households experiencing homelessness.  What is homelessness? It is a household lacking a permanent place to live that is fit for human habitation.

Types of Minnesota Homeless Programs

Transitional Housing:

Means a project that has as its purpose facilitating the movement of homeless individuals and families to permanent housing within a reasonable amount of time (usually 24 months).

Long-Term Homelessness:

Persons including individuals, unaccompanied youth, or families with children who lack a permanent place to live continuously for a year or more or at least four times in the past three years. Any period of institutionalization or incarceration shall be excluded when determining the length of time a household has been homeless. NOTE: Minnesota's definition does not require that the person have a disabling condition.

Permanent Supportive Housing:

Permanent rental housing affordable to the population served where support services are available to residents. Permanent supportive housing is available to individuals and families with multiple barriers to obtaining and maintaining housing, including those who are formerly homeless or at risk of homelessness and those with mental illness, substance abuse disorders, and/or HIV/AIDS.

Conifer Estates

Conifer Estates is a 20 unit townhome community. Program designed to provide permanent, supportive and affordable housing to families experiencing homelessness. Income restrictions apply.

Criminal and credit checks will be conducted by Rental Research Services, Inc., PO Box 5065, Hopkins, MN 55343; Phone 952-852-2060. We will acknowledge receipt of your application by mail. The determining factors for occupancy will be the completeness of your application, a favorable review of credit and landlord references, the criminal background investigation, income limitations and the availability of a unit that meets your needs. Each resident will be required to sign a one-year lease and pay a security deposit. The Tenant Selection Criteria is available upon request.
